What are good pot odds?

Pot odds are good when the equity they require is below your chance of winning. A half-pot bet requires 25% — profitable for a flush draw (~35% on the flop) but not for a gutshot (~17%).

Why fold a draw on the turn that you would call on the flop?

With one card to come instead of two, your equity is roughly halved: a flush draw drops from about 35% to about 20%. The same price that was profitable on the flop often is not on the turn.

Should you always fold when pot odds are bad?

Accepted Answer

Not always — implied odds (money you can win on later streets) can justify a slightly bad price with hidden draws. But as a default, if the math says fold, fold.
